Rare Antique Remington Transitional New Model Army .44 cal. Percussion Civil War Revolver. This revolver was manufactured around 1863 during the transition from the Model 1861 to the New Model (10000-22000 range) and has the New Model solid loading lever, "PATENTED SEPT. 14. 1858 / E. REMINGTON & SONS . ILION NEW YORK.U.S.A. / NEW MODEL" marking on the top flat of the barrel with the extremely rare added New Model designation next to the two line address, safety notches on the cylinder, and U.S. inspection marks "W", "R", and "H" throughout. The matching serial number is on the bottom of the barrel, the left side of the grip frame, and trigger guard hook. The New Model Army was the second most widely issued revolver of the Civil War and only trailed Colt's Model 1860 Army. Arizona Gun Dealers must have a signed copy of their Federal Firearms License in order to accept delivery of modern weapons. ANY DENIED BACKGROUND CHECK WILL RESULT IN A REFUND MINUS A 25% RESTOCKING FEE.
