Marlin Model 1893 Lever Action .30-30 Win Rifle. Case hardened frame and lever with 26" blued octagon barrel with full length magazine tube. Plain walnut stock and forearm. Crescent buttplate. D.W. Kingfront sight, standard Marlin rear barrel sight. Plain walnut stock and forearm with varnish finish. Tang stamped "Model -1893-". The model 1893 was a refinement of the earlier "New Safety" Model 1889, which was he first solid-top receiver, lever action rifle with a side ejection that threw the fired cases, or live cartridges, to the right-hand side of the rifle as opposed to being thrown straight up and out of the gun. The top of the barrel engraving is clear: " MARLIN FIRE-ARMS CO. NEW-HAVEN.CT. U.S.A. - PATENTED OCT 11.1887. APRIL 2.1889. AUGUST 1.1893."; The top of the receiver is marked "MARLIN SAFETY" and the bottom receiver and side of the receiver tang show serial number 350840, indicating that this rifle was manufactured in 1906. It has the correct MODEL 1893 marking on the receiver tang, and the side of the barrel is marked SPECIAL SMOKELESS STEEL., seen on all barrels from that era designed for Smokeless Powder cartridges like the .30-30 Winchester Caliber/ Gauge: .30-30 Win; Serial Number: 350840 Working Order: Firearm has not been tested; Background Check: Required; Keywords: Firearms, Guns; Ref: BD1588

  • Condition: This rifle is in overall good to fair condition with signs of wear commensurate with age and use. The bore is semi shinny and strong rifling, appears to need a cleaning. The wood stock shows signs of loss on the left side next to the receiver. There are 3 cracks on the right side of the wood stocks. Two cracks are located next to the receiver and the third crack is next to the rear part of the receiver tang. The barrel bluing has turned to a smooth silver and brown patina with areas showing varying amounts of oxidation. The receiver's finish has turned to a blotchy silver and brown patina. Action is sound. Forearm and stock show signs of heavy wear with deep dents and scratches. Please see the pictures for details and condition.

Arizona Gun Dealers must have a signed copy of their Federal Firearms License in order to accept delivery of modern weapons.
