Antique Winchester Model 1892 Take Down .38 WCF Lever Action Rifle. This antique Winchester has a blued 24” octagon barrel with a German-silver blade front sight and an elevator-adjustable buckhorn rear sight. The barrel has the standard two-line Winchester address and the caliber 38 WCF roll-stamped on the upper flat; all lettering is sharp and crisp. The magazine tube is full-length. The upper tang is stamped with Winchester and the model number. The serial number is seen stamped on the bottom of the receiver. The barrel, magazine tube, receiver, forearm cap and crescent butt-plate were all blued. The forearm and buttstock are made from straight-grained Walnut.   • Condition: VERY GOOD! All of the bluing on this antique Winchester rates as very good to fine. It has turned or is in the process of turning to a beautiful, even brownish patina. The barrel bore is shiny with very good rifling. The wood stocks exhibit some mild handling marks along with a couple of minor dings and rates as very good and the finish remains even. There does not appear to be any replaced parts. The action is very strong and positive.
